I was diagnosed with PCOS in April of this year and it came to great relief. That may sound strange to most of you but it has not been easy. At 14 I was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder called Von Willebrands disease because of this I was hemmoraging every month to the point where I could not function in everyday life. It was leaving me weak and tired month after month. Two years prior to this, at 12, I was rushed to the emergency room for bleeding. It was so bad it went through the mattress. The doctor told my mom "thats normal for this age", luckily my mom is a fighter and took me to every doctor. Their solution was the BC pill. I have been on the pill since 12! I got married in 2006 and demanded to be taken off as we wanted to have children and knew it would be along process because of the bleeding. After a year and a half of not being able to get my period at all while off the pill i was scared. We moved to NC last August and I started to see an infertilty doctor and she diagnosed me with PCOS. Now im back on the pill, it is my worst enemy. I get horrible migrains that leave me immobile. Now with the pill, metaformin and my bleeding meds I am starting to live my life of having periods again and it is difficult. My acne is worst than ever, I can't lose weight and I am constantly sick to my stomach. I am certain that I was never meant to have a normal life like most women and I am afraid I will never have children. I feel hopeless!

aww, sweetie - sorry you are having such a rough time right now. could you see a different dr instead if you arent happy with your meds?? i had to change surgery to get any pcos help.
what id suggest is to write down everything that you want to ask/say to talk to a dr about it. thats what i always do.
