Default New to PCOS have questions

Just today I was diagnosed with PCOS, I found this site by googling to learn more about this condition.
I originally went to the doctor with complaints of stomach pain, worse pain than I had with endo, and even worse than when I had an ectopic.
The doc thought he felt a mass on my ovary so he scheduled an ultrasound and took a bunch of blood.
Today when I went in, he said based on my blood tests (I didn't get specifics) and on my ultrasound I have PCOS. The thing is, I have NO other symptoms that I'm reading about on this and other websites. I don't have periods anymore because I had a partial hysterectomy a year ago, but when I did have them they were regular, I don't have any excess hair growth, I'm not overweight (by too much , I don't have acne and I never had any fertility problems before my hysterectomy.
So, my question, is there something that would show the same irregularities on blood work and ultrasound, but that is not PCOS? Or, is it possible to have PCOS without any of these symptoms?
The doctor did not prescribe me any type of medications, he said to follow up in about a month, but in the mean time, I still have the original pain that I went in for in the first place. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Jessica

Hmmm, that seems kind of odd to me. As far as I've heard during my journey so far is mostly every woman is prescribed with some type of medication.. My doctor suggest birth control which is generally what happens or if you're trying to conceive then metformin. If I were you I'd get a second opinion from either a different Doctor or a Gyno cause it seems really odd to me that the only symptom you have is stomach pain.. In fact I'm not even sure if I've heard of that as a symptom before. Every woman has different symptoms though, it really just varies from person to person. So yes if I were you I'd get a second opinion, & IF you have PCOS it needs to be treated whether you decide to go for birth control [I'm on yasmin] or metformin or au natural ways. Either way from what I've learned, if left untreated it can lead to a series of things and you really don't want that. Let us know what happens :]
