Hi I'm Madison, and I've had PCOS since I was 12 but I was diagnosed when I was 15 and I'm 17 now.
My problem is kinda gross, so sorry.
Past few years I've been sweating a LOT. Not everywhere, just from my armpits. I'll be like sitting watching tv in a cool room and I'll have stains under my arm. Theres no smell or anything but still, totally gross. I've tried everything except going to the doctor.
I was wondering, is this another oh-so-wonderful side effect of pcos? Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks

hey there
i have had the same problem, and it gets worse if i gain any weight whatsoever, i use a strong deodorant called mitchum which my (also sweaty) roommate introduced me to and it has been a godsend. no other deodorant works for me but this 1 does. if that doesn't work then do go to your doctor because they can give info on medicated sprays as i have another friend who uses 1 of these. hmm... i seem to know a lot of people who sweat a lot...

I have the same problem. Sweaty all the dang time. Dead of winter and it's freezing outside and I have to have a fan blowing on me when I'm trying to get ready to go somewhere because if I don't, any makeup I put on melts off and my hair goes flat.
I feel ya, cyster!

yup, i have to have windows open in the middle of winter to wear makeup and even after blow drying my hair if i get too warm i end up with a curly fringe. i guess i can do somethin bout sweaty pits but deodorant on my face seems a bit extreme lol

I've lost the original source of this info, but I think it's interesting:
“A review of the common sources of aluminum for humans found that antiperspirant use can significantly increase the amount of aluminum absorbed by the body. According to the review, after a single underarm application of antiperspirant, about .012 percent of the aluminum may be absorbed. The aluminum that is absorbed by your body from a typical antiperspirant adds up over time, and that aluminum can and does go straight to your brain where it can play havoc, as aluminum has been widely associated with Alzheimer’s disease.”
After reading that, and having allergic reactions to several brands, I decided to research "natural" alternatives and found something called Crystal Body Deodorant Stick. It's a "mineral rock" that you dampen and then apply.
Not only is it healthy but it seems to work better as well.
