Question New with questions

Hi, here's my story. DH and I were talking about TTC#1 so we thought "hey I should go for a check up to make sure all systems were a go." That was 9/26, I received a phone call yesterday from Gyno saying she was refering me to a "specialist" an Endocrinologist because my blood work has come back indicating that I have PCOS. (Mind you I actually had to look up what kind of dr that was and what the H was PCOS) So I called and set up my appt. (10/16) after fighting with my regular Dr for a referal.

Anyway I'm confused about all that is going on. #1 what can I actually expect from this Dr.? Like is this all blood work (again) or another pap (again)...what actually do they do? #2 what happens now I'm assuming that we should stop trying until we get all of my info, right? I feel like I'm in a whirlwind or something one min I'm just going in to see basically what advice or precautions we should take before we TTC and now I'm seeing a new dr that I have no clue about.

Any help or advice is greatful

Welcome to SC!
My endo. did bllodwork to check my hormone levels, and I have heard many will also do glucose testing (although mine didn't). I'm not TTC, so I don't have any advice for you on that - but good luck!

Had a rough year and disappeared for awhile, but I'm back!
