Unhappy New and really in need of friendly advice!
Hey everyone!
My name is Becky and Im from England. Im 19. I have just been diagnosed with PCOS. At first I wasnt too worried because my doctor told me just to ignore it and forget it was there! He barely explained what it was, so I went back for more information! He told me I was being stupid and that I should just forget about it! Is there really nothing he can do to help with ANY of the symptoms?! Would really appreciate any advice!!
On a lighter note, I am really glad I found this sight and you all seem so nice!! Doesnt this suck!! Hope your all well, apart from the obvious! Keep smiling!

Becky, you have foung the right spot. These woman are amazing. They have helped me with so many things. Keep your head up and try to look for a new doctor. One who understands The illness. I was diagnosed young too. Luckly my doctor is awesome. Good luck on your search for knowledge.

babybokal is right. PCOS is not something to be ignored. And this site is full of women who can answer questions. I too ask lots of them and I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1999! I still don't known everything. (And I probably never will)

If you find that your doctor is no help look in the "Find A Doctor' Forum. Hopefully you will find the name of a reproductive endocrinologist near you.

I hope to see you around the site (especially this forum) in the days and weeks to come (and months and years!)
