I am not newly diagnosed, I am new to the site.
I have recently had someone tell me that since I am thru having kids, that I should have a hysterectomy and that will take care of it.
I tried to explain that it is a horomone problem and that surgery would not help but she insists that her mother had one and it took care of everything.
Is this possible?

First of welcome!!!!
I don't really think a hysterectomy will take care of anything PCOS related....some of the other cysters here will probably know more.
I hope you find many answers and friends here.

No, I'm pretty sure a hysterectomy is not a solution to pcos. You're correct when you tell your friend that it's a hormonal imbalance. I'll be interested to hear what other cyster have to say about this too. Anyone who has had a hysterectomy?
