While I am new to this site, I am not new to the conditions of PCOS. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 9 years ago and am still searching for the one great dr. to help me. I went to a rep endro who helped me alittle but only to the point of conception and the I went to a gihtly recommeneded metobolic endo in my area who also helped me somewhat but was condensending and always told me I was obese. Wanted me to have gastric bypass. I am 5'10' and am a size 18. Recently I started to do more serious research out of my disgust for the medical field and have read about insulite laboratories. I think this might really have with my IR - does anyone else have any info on this.
I'm a size 18, but only 5' tall. I would NEVER have bypass surgery! Can't believe they suggested something that drastic. Like you don't have enough to deal with having PCOS, they want to rearrange your insides!?!
Rant aside, welcome to SC. Lots of great info here, and some really helpful ladies ready to support you. Hope you find everything you need.
