Hi everyone, I am new to this site, but I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago. I found out about three weeks before my wedding when I was rushed to the emergency room with horrible abdominal pain. The ER found a cyst the size of a softball and said that if it did not pop soon, they would have to perform surgery (my dream wedding would be cancelled!). It popped a few days later. My doctor ran all tests and diagnosed me with PCOS. Well it explained my non-conformist menstral cycle, my very blonde yet annoying beard, and all my male like qualities. I had a wonderful doctor so she began Reasurring me right away that children were still a option and was very supportive with talking with me and prescribing medications (metformin, and others I no longer remember). Anyways my husband and I started trying to have a baby in Nov. of 2006 and succeeded this July only to lose the baby 8 weeks later. Well that is my story. Nice to soon meet you all. -Eliza
