Hi, My name is Denise. I am 36 and have known I have PCOS since 1996 or 97....too long ago and too many things have happened since then to remember the exact year. Once I was diaginosed my DH and I went through 2 years for infertility treatments, lot of tests, surgeries, 2 miscarriages and ultimatly giving birth to twins boys

in 1999. Then in 2004 I heard about women with PCOS getting regular cycles and ovulating using Avandia. 6 months after starting Avandia I was PG with boy #3

and he was born in June 2005.
At this point in my life I am trying to be as natural as possible w/diet and minimal meds. My weight has been my biggest issue and I am close to what I was when I delivered #3 so now I am scared into losing it. I never want to be that big again unless I am PG.
At the moment I am on the Nuva Ring (suppressing the ovaries) and Metformin. I plan to stay on the ring for at least 3 months. I also take a thyroid support medicine called Armour. I do not have a thryroid problem but the wellness dr. I see believes that everyone's normal range is different. Since taking the Armour my engery level had increased, my hair stopped falling out, and I can stay up later and actually finish a movie without falling asleep half way through.
So that is the short version of me and my PCOS.
I am glad I found this site.
Denise
