Hi! I found this board while stumbling around the internet last night and am very happy I did. My name is Randi. I am 29 years old and have two children - a 7 year old (almost 8) and a 4 year old. The majority of websites I find are those women who are trying to conceive with PCOS. That wasn't a problem for me - both of my children were conceived while I was on birth control, as apparently the hormones from the pill regulated the hormones in my body enough to allow me to have two beautiful children.
This is the weird thing: birth control actually helps me to feel better. When I'm on a pill I feel happier, more in control, and better about life. The problem, however, is that the last time I went on birth control, I was diagnosed with migraines. It took six months after the pill was out of my system for the migraines to stop (they weren't anything I'd dealt with before). Which, to me, means that the hormones apparently are changing their levels and my body is changing as well.
I haven't had a period in a few months, and it's not unusual for me to go a year or longer without one (although usually at the year marker I make an appt. at the OB to get one induced).
I hate that I'm overweight. I hate that I feel depressed for no reason. I hate that I get tired after I eat (thanks to this board I discovered the IR Diet and have it ordered from Amazon - here's hoping that it helps) - I hate that 80% of the time I'm not in the mood to have sex with my husband.
I'm just in a really bad place right now and I hope that this board can help.
