Hi all, Just wanted to intrduce myself, my name is melissa im 26 im from Sydney Australia and i have PCOS. i got my first period when i was 9yrs old my first hospitalised cyst at age 11 and diagnosed at age 13, needless to say i have been living with pcos for quite some time. i struggle with weight and have been on metformin for about 5yrs during which time i managed to concieve my now 2yr old son. After my son was born i was taken off the metformin and told i didnt need to take it anymore. last week i saw my gp who informed me that my pcos has resurfaced and i am currently going through all the original pain and horrible symptoms that began when i was diagnosed. i suffer with hiruitism which is incredibly embarrasing to me and i tend to try to hide it from my fiancee. i know he loves me regardless of how i look on any given day but my uncontrolable excess weight gain and the hiruitism gets very depressing and i feel very alone in this as it dosnt run in my family and i am the only person i know personally that suffers from pcos.
Well thats my story any advice, information would be greatly appreciated.
