Sounds like you could be one of us Do you have other symptoms of PCOS - irregular/no periods, hair on head thinning, other hair growing where you don't want it, blood-sugar/insulin problems, acne, hot flushes, weight problems, etc.
There is a lot of good info to read here to help you work out where you're at.

My periods come regulaly 28days but they a super heavy for 2 days then they dissapear for1 or 2 days ,then back for 1 day , then dissapear again ,then they spot for about 2wks.
i have a curret about 6 years ago that seemed to do the trick, but the last 2 years they went haywire again.
hair grows on my chin , a little acne ,weight 50kg over, high blood preasure(5 years) ,moody (oh my god somedays a cry all day) .hot flushes mainly at night ,i thought i was going through menopause!
I had a blood test yesterday the doctor wants to rule out overian cancer (pap smear ,ultrasound In& out ) all ok except for cyst.but i can't stop thinking about it.
My gyno of 18years has never mentioned the term PCOS.anyway he has retired now see new one on 15 jan i'll mention to her PCOS
blood-sugar/insulin hoppfully ok will find out next week .

If you are getting a referral now might be the time to make sure its to a PCOS friendly doc IYKWIM. Not quite sure where the lists are on here anyone help?
I asked my referral to a doc id heard about on here and he is great
