Thumbs down New! South Beach Diet Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Kit

I saw these at the store 2/$5.00 so I wanted to try it out. I just had the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad and YUCK!!!!!!!!! The chicken was a little salty but when I takes the Harvest Wheat Pita Chips it was AWFUL!!! They were so salty, I ate 3 and just couldn't finish, it was that bad. I was like if someone poured salt in my mouth. So, outta the whole kit I only enjoyed the Jello it came with. Anyone else try this kit?

Bummer! Honestly I'm not too impressed with SBD foods. I got some of their frozen dinners once and one of them made me want to hurl. If you have a Costco nearby they have rockin' chicken salad. My DBF has been eating it like it's going out of style. He puts in on a croissant. It's pretty yummy.

Annie- I thought it was awful. The chicken salad kit comes with chicken pieces cubed up and then a packet of Mayo and walnuts, cranberrys, you mix that all up and make the chicken salad. Well the chicken was salty but I got a few pieces that had grisele(sp) in them and were tough, so I almost gagged. Then I open up the Wheat Pita chips and had 2-3 chips and thought someone poured a whole container of salt in my mouth it was that bad. The only thing I ate was the jello, I tried a few bites of the chicken salad and just couldn't eat anymore of it. YUCK! The chips were salty and awful. It would be especially bad for someone with high blood pressure, unless it was just the kit I got, but it was awful salty!

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't tried any of the SB meals, but I loved their cookies. Yummy!
