I seen in a magazine that there is a "new" stomach proceedure.

Instead of stapleing the stomach to make it smaller they use a loop.

The loop has a tube attatched that exits under the breast. A dr. can add sterile water into the tube to tighten the loop that is around the stomach.

I guess one bad side effect is that the tube can slip---I suppose that may mean that blood circulation could be cut off to the stomach and the stomach could die from that. Which sounds pretty serious to me.

But I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this proceedure or had it done???
