Are there any other girls out there who are in college and dealing with Insulin Resistance? I'm having difficulty with finding food to eat. I'm greatly limited in my selection as everything is highly processed. I end up eating a turkey sandwich and an apple everyday for lunch and oftentimes settle for a salad with simply some cauliflower, red-wine vinegar, and olive oil. I also have a very difficult time avoiding getting dessert when all my friends are eating ice cream or cake or pie. How do you find ways to cope with it? I get so depressed at times because I want to eat the fettuccine alfredo or a bunch of french fries like everyone else but I know that I shouldn't. I'd like to know what are some of your motivational factors that keep you moving in the line past those foods.
