Hey - I am just like you. I was about average size, not IR, and clomid resistant.
We did ovarian drilling and I was pregnant two weeks later after trying two years. Yall might need to look into that as insurance pays for it. It is considered a treatment for PCOS. You would need to get the codes and check for sure - you probably know that. Ovarian drilling has a 60% success rate in the first year and 80% success rate in the following year.
Met never really helped me. I would be hesitant about doing too much clomid. I have no idea how much you have taken and I know your DH is a medical student and probably pretty savvy. I took 7 rounds of clomid and I don't want to take anymore. I read a study here on the research section that studies several thousand women from 1965 to 1988 that used clomid. It didn't say how much or how long. Just said womn who used higher doeses were at a higher risk. Anyway, the findings said these women were 56% more likely to get ovarian or cervical cancer. If my Dr. ever tries to get me to take it again, I will try and talk him out of it - maybe he will let me go straight to injectibles if I need it with the drilling for subsequent children.
