Hi Ladies,

I am sorry I have been away for so long. I have been so busy with work. Beth, to answer your question from a few days ago, i am not in real estate. i work for a property management company. we deal with neighborhood HOA's. we take the HOA dues, create budgets and do with the $$ the things that their covenants allow... i am learning more about how to be a property manager instead of an office manager (i will still do the accounting for a while, though...). when we get someone to take over for me, i will be doing more "in neighborhood" things, such as inspections, board meetings, etc. (only for one or two neighborhoods to begin with though.) So that is pretty much it... i like it. i am having to learn how to deal a little more with people than what i am used to though. OH, BTW, i have very short periods. two days, maybe three...

Carrie, how are things going? i have been stalking your chart. it looks good. what do you think your chances are. If you copy the ticker on your home page, you can copy/paste it into your signature instead of the one from ticker factory. you just copy the picture and paste it in... that is how i got my FF ticker on my page... anyway. i think the ticker you have is just fine. i hope you are good.

I have news. Bryan and i decided that i am going to go back on BCP's until next year. there is so much going on, i don't think that we are ready. i am sad, but releived... i am really not emotionally ready to have a baby i don't think. So, you may not see me on the board as much. You guys are great. and i will be praying for you... i will check in every now and again. you have my email address... you can send me an email... thanks for letting me talk through things while i was waiting to start TTC... you girls are really great. Anna, thanks for my gift! That was sweet. Good luck with everything with work and all, and I totally understand what you mean about not being ready. We have been TTC for 2 years, and last month is the first time I have heard Mike say, "I think we're ready." It takes time. But I do feel like you are never really ready or there isn't actually 'the right time' to have a baby - ya know? It is life changing. Keep us updated and please check in from time to time. Hopefully, I'll have news at some point in the (relatively) near future.

I can't wait!!!!! I am excited and very hopeful about bringing a new life into the world. I think finishing the bonus room makes me feel better - like more things are 'moving in to place.' Mike had a job change last fall and that put us closer to being where we want to be before having a baby too. I am a little nervous still though b/c I am going back to get my specialist degree in curriculum & leadership in the fall of '08. I could possibly have a newborn! Oh, well~

Caligirl and Carrie, hope you are both having relaxing, peaceful weekends!

Hello Girls,

I had my 2nd acupuncture appointment this morning. All went pretty well, she used a lot more pins this time so hopefully someday in the near future I will see AF. It's funny that I want to get AF, it used to be a hassle and I would have rather not had it. I guess times change and when you know your body isn't working the way it should you get frustrated. My ovaries have felt a little more sensitive than normal so I hope it is not all in my head and they are "waking up" as the acupuncturist says.
I really wish I could get into the Endo before the 31st but they are all booked up. I will keep you all updated and hopefully with good news that AF showed up.
Thanks for all of your responses. I do have some questions though.
Is anyone seeing an Endocrinologist instead of an RE?
Is there any point in charting if you aren't getting your period?
I am pretty new to all this so I have a lot to learn.

I'm having those awful group of days where you feel horribly depressed and devasted over being infertile.

I know it didn't happen this cycle and I feel like it never will. Now, I'm faced with, what's next? Where do I go from here and how do I move on?

Amber, I've heard amazing things about accupuncture. My sister does it to help with lots of things and absolutely swears by it.

Beth, what a curriculum and training degree?

Anna, you must be phenomonally excited about everything that is going on at work. When will you start the birth control again and what brand will you be using?

Hey Girls!!

Amber, I am going to an RE on the 30th, so I have no idea about the differences b/t an RE & just an endocrinologist~ sorry! I tried acupuncture too, a year ago. I also drank this disgusting mixture of herbs that was supposed to help me get pg - it didn't work obviously. But I did like going. It was very relaxing. Now, I am just going to a chiropractor and trying to eat more 'clean' I am on the verge of driving my dh crazy with organic! Oh, and I don't know if charting is helpful ior not f you don't have AF~ I have never charted my temps- I just used OPKs and this is my first cycle with a CBEFM (clearblue easy fertility monitor).

Carrie, curriculum & leadership is so that I can move into an administrative position in the school system. I want to start out as an AA (administrative assistant) and then after probably two years, I'll try and get an AP (assistant principal) position. We'll see. I am on cd 13 with my CBEFM, still just showing high fertility, we'll see if I get an eggie this cycle! My ovaries are not as sore as they usually get, so I don't know if anything is going on or not. I go for my b/w on Friday - time will tell. I hope you feel better soon, believe me, I do know how you feel. The past 3 months have been better for me, with the exception of when I actually get AF - I tend to go into basketcase mode at that time. I really think the EPO has helped so much with my hormones and emotionality.

Carrie, i am sorry you are feeling bummed. I will be praying for you. How are you feeling today? what did the Dr. say about your b/w? How were things in LaCrosse? Did you have a great week there. What all did you do while you were there this time? You know that you are completely intitled to have days when you are down. just don't let them tell you how you feel... You haven't been trying for a REAL long time. So maybe you just need a little more time. I am SOOO sorry that you are feeling down. Maybe you should take a road trip and come out to the beach... the ocean is medicine for the soul!

Amber, i don't know anything about any of those drs. I have never seen anyone besides my ob/gyn, and haven't had a need to since we weren't actively ttc. It all sounds real smart to me!! lol... I think you should chart, but that is just me. It lets you know if you do o, even if it is late in your cycle... Maybe you should ask the dr that you see what they think. some drs don't think it is absolutely necessary (from what i have read.)

Beth, How are you doing. i used to drink an awful herb mixture, but it was for a completely different reason... i can't believe i am about to tell you this... i took all these herbs because they "claimed" to recreate the hormone that causes breast growth... don't know if you have seen any of my pics... it didn't work... lol... funny the things we do... right? Some how i missed what you were doing when you first started posting here. I worked in the school system for a while. I was a TA in a special ed class. I loved my kids. (i got burnt out) and i went to school for El. Ed. i didn't finish, and don't know if i ever will go back and finish getting that degree. i saw too much behind the scenes to want to be a teacher... even though i love kids, and i want to be around them more than anything. (this job that i have now is the first job i have had in YEARS that i am not with kids.) GL with all that! I am sure you will do a great job!!

Well, i started my pill last night. so i am will be back in the full not ttc by next Sunday (since i am a sunday start, it takes the pill 7 days to be completely 99% effective) Carrie, i use Ovcon 35... actually the generic brand. it is the only brand that i have been able to take and it not have bad side effects. i wouldn't even go back on them, except that we are not wanting to accidentally get pregnant. i don't want to have to think about it. and i don't want to have to use condoms for the next year... that sucks... lol...

I am excited about work... but nervous too... i am hoping i do ok... i need to learn spanish!

Hey y'all....

Anna, I know what you mean about not being able to be a teacher - I could never do that either. I like having my little group for a while and then sending them back to class~ especially the little ones who can be 'overly excited' so to speak. I never have more than 4 at a time, which is nice. It's hard for them to get anything done if you have more than that since I only see them for 30 minutes at a time for speech/language. If I'm doing some inclusion/collaboration, I may have more than 4 that I am working with, but not all of them are speech kids. I like my job, but it's all the red tape and paperwork that makes me want a change of pace. Some days, I think I could leave the school system and never look back, and then other days, I really like what I do. I feel like I can make a difference in the lives of my students, which is the best feeling. I am doing good though. I hope everything goes ok w/your BCP - I really don't ever want to go back on them, especially if we do get pg - I don't want to wait very long till we have another one since this has been such a lengthy process. I can totally understand where y'all are coming from though. You should do what you think is right for y'all right now. Everything will work it's self out - that's what I keep telling myself anyway.

Well, as for my update in general, still no eggie on the CBEFM. I don't know how it will go this time since it's my first cycle using it. Maybe it will 'learn' about my cycle though and be helpful in the future. My b/w is Friday and I am a little bummed about it - since I haven't had anything on the monitor but high levels of fertility. I am afraid I won't even O this time. But maybe I will.

Carrie, how was your b/w? I know Anna was asking too. I hope all is well with work and everything. Are you feeling any better? Seriously, I do think the EPO helps with my emotions and mood in general. It is supposed to benefit CM as well. It may be worth looking into if the clomid is making you crazy.

Amber, how is everything? Acupuncture still going well? I am jealous - I really did like it, it was always so soothing. Although, the whole sensation of your 'energy' moving was strange at times. Do you know what I'm talking about? Any update w/AF yet? I hope it all falls in line soon for you.

Hey ladies,

I'm feeling a little better I suppose. I started AF today. I can't do clomid again because I'll be out of town the next time I would ovulate. My side hurt really bad so I'm sure taking a break isn't a bad thing.

Work is a little frustrating, people don't do what they're supposed to. They think I'm gonna be like my boss but I won't be.

Now that I'm feeling better, I'm not ready to give up.

I didn't get my bloodwork results back yet. OH well. I might go back on bcp. My cysts didn't hurt when I was on it.

Sorry my post is so scrambled. I'm very tired.

Beth, I hope you O this time. In your post, did you mean that if you get pregnant with your first you'll try for your second right away?

Anna, I'm interested to know if you'll still have cramps when you're back on the pill. Will you still be using fertility friend?

My work week is over. My husband has surgery tomorrow on his knee. I imagine it will be fine.

I won't be on clomid this month. So it will probably be another 45 days before I have AF again. I guess it will be nice to have a break. Maybe I won't even temp this month.

Beth how is all of your stuff going? Are you feeling okay?

Anna, how ya doing back on bcp? How are your cramps?

I have had cramps a couple of days. I updated my chart so you can look at it. I will still be using FF, i just won't be temping. it is a good way to keep up with things.

I am going to the beach this weekend with my mom, sister, granny and SIL. i am excited.

Hi Everyone,

ASMay, When I was on birth control I was on NuvaRing. I took BCP for about 7 years and rarely had regular periods. I started to have 2 periods every month which was frustrating. Finally, a Dr. had me try the nuvaring. I loved it! I only had 1 period a month and didn't have to remember to take a pill every day. Just wanted to give you some info in case the pill doesn't work for you.

Beth, I have my 4th acupuncture appointment tomorrow morning. She has been putting pins in my ears which isn't the most comfortable. The rest of them don't bother me but the ear ones kinda hurt. I am willing to do it though, if it helps. I have noticed a little of the energy flow. I did notice that when she sticks certain pins in she will turn it a little and I feel a sensation run all the way down my leg. Very weird, but interesting.

I haven't seen AF yet but I do feel a littler tenderness. I do feel that the acupuncture is “waking up my ovaries”. lol I hope that it starts soon. If not, I do have my Endo appt. on the 31st.
I think I am going to start the FF thing. I haven’t even been to the website yet. Is there more than 1 or is there only 1 that everyone recommends?
As for this weekend I will just be studying and I took some work home so I will need to get that done. Hopefully it will be nice out so my hubby and I can go to the beach or biking.

Newbie Question: How do I get a picture under my name. I added a pic to my profile which I thought would work but it only showed up in my profile. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I will continue to chart some symptoms but I won't be temping this month.

I am still not feeling the best but what can you do. I can't change anything so I might as well accept it.

I am thinking about seeing an RE. Beth and Caligirl, let me know how your appointments go and what the process is. Not sure if I can handle it all emotionally.

Anna, how are things going at work? Keeping busy? I applied for a Store Manager position but I'm not sure if I'll get it. The District Leader really wants me there but is not totally convinced that I'm ready. I have to interview with his boss. We haven't set it up yet. I really hope I get it. It would make things so much easier.

DH is doing okay after his knee surgery. Hopefully, he'll be up walking around more tomorrow.

Amber, not quite sure how to add a picture. Try to add it to your signature, but I tried to add a picture like what Anna has but couldn't figure it out. I think my pictures were too large of a file. Good luck.
