AsMay- I am so sorry that you are bleeding. (((hugs))) That is good that you are going to still get your second beta. I think they can tell a lot from the beta numbers. Regardless of the outcome you should also get your progesterone checked b/c they may be causing your bleeding. It is really awesome that you were able to get pregnant naturally. If this comes to an end please don't give up but in the future I would take progesterone 3 days after ovulation.

Keep us posted! I'll be praying that everything is ok.

hi beth,

I'm okay. My shoulder is killing me, but my friend darvaset is helping me through. As for fertility, I wish. I'm on cycle day 14 and nothing so far, oh well. We were supposed to go to an adoption orientation. I never got my packet of stuff and wasn't called when the date changed. I was so mad. I guess it shouldn't matter that much, we can't really do anything until we've been married two years.

and for you Beth, we wait. Is it over yet, when will your test date be?

Carrie

thanks for the welcomes everyone! I'm a total novice when it comes to blogs, etc. So bear with me. I'm very new to this site, not to mention newly diagnosed. I never had any symptoms till I went off the pill in July. DH and I wanted to start ttc and that's when AF stopped coming. It took me so long to be diagnosed b/c i am thin. My ob/gyn just laughed at me when I told her I thought I might have Pcos. So like 10 precious months wasted. Compared to most of youim so old . Maybe I should change my screenname 2 grandma! :-) anyway sooo happy I have an RE appt on June 5...I'm counting down the days.

Good luck everyone! I'm so grateful I found this site!

SFcyster,

you're not old...my dh is 45. So what's next for you, now that you've been diagnosed? Will you be trying met? What's the pcos blend?

I love this site, it has made me feel like I am not alone.

Take care,
Carrie

I'm not sure what's next it will all depend on what my RE says on June 5th. I keep hearing Clomid doesn't work so well for thin cysters and that Met is the way to go. I will wait and see. The PCOS blend is something my naturopath doc recommended ( I see him for acupuncture). I totally trust him because he is the one that thought I should get screened for PCOS even after my Ob/Gyn laughed at me - by the way, I'm finding a new Ob/Gyn after the way she treated me. The PCOS blend was developed by this naturopath doc Tori Hudson. She has an interesting article on her website torihudson.com that talks about PCOS and why it is misdiagnosed or missed altogether. Although I'd love to try to resolve my issues naturally with herbs, acupuncture, etc. i feel like I don't have the time to do so and that's why I'm all for trying Met, etc. However, I do believe that I can supplement whatever meds they prescribe with acupuncture and other natural stuff...

SFCyster...Welcome! I tried 8 months naturally. That included acupuncture, Chinese herbs, charting, and ovulation detectors. All that was great but it helped me find out that I just don't ovulate. So I went to the doc and he started me on clomid. The first round with clomid and the trigger shot I got pregnant. I feel very lucky. So I don't think it's that clomid doesn't work for thin cysters I think it just doesn't work for certain people. I'm anxious to hear how your RE appt goes on June 5th! Good Luck!

Carrie...Sorry your shoulder is hurting so bad. I hope it gets better! Do you have the next adoption orientation date. That sucks that you missed the first one because of them. That would irritate me!

Beth...How are you?

Anna...I'm thinking about you. I hope everything turned out well and the bleeding wasn't related to the pregnancy. ((Hugs))

Not much new here. I have a doc appt. in an hour, I will let you know if there's anything to report. Have a great Memorial weekend everyone. Any plans?

~Amber

SFCyster, I hope you will get good info at the RE...I like mine a lot, but she ended up saying she's not really sold on my PCOS dx - so, in her eyes, I am an unexplained IF case...which is bothersome b/c I do O, am not IR, all my bw checks out ok, and my DH's SA was 'normal' - go figure!! I too tried acupuncture and chinese herbs, which weren't fruitful, but many people have great results w/natural remedies and tx, so I hope that will be the case for you. Keep us updated after your RE appt.

Amber, I am ok, just beginning my 2ww - keep your fingers crossed that we might get our 'miracle'!! Hoping all looks good at your appt - let us know if anything has changed w/the breech positioning of the little one.

Carrie, drugs are a miracle, huh?! I am so weird, I don't like taking meds, so almost anytime I get prescribed pain meds I never even get the rx filled. I think when I had my appy I did, but I'm not sure. I hope you keep managing the pain well and can make speedy recovery. Will you have to do any PT? Let us know if you get to go to another adoption seminar.

Anna, how are you?
