Amber, so glad that you are feeling more like normal. i can't believe that your baby is already 1 month old... that is crazy. And so great that you will be able to spend some much time at home with her! I hope i am able to stay home when the time comes! Happy 3 year ann!!
Carrie, way to go on +opks! that is great! i love to see them turn +. I have a digi to double check... make sure i get that . Hopefully this is your month! i am praying that you catch that egg! have you thought about doing something like accupuncture for your stress... also, good ol' fashion rompin' is also good for relaxation... (not the baby making kind... just a good lay! ) i also like to read!
Beth, how long are your cycles usually? Mine are now averaging around 34 days. with o around cd22. (this is just average.) i hope that my new dr won't like the length and will rx something to shorten my cycles... anyway, i am so sorry about that bfn. i understand what that is like! i think we all do... hopefully your new dr will be able to figure something out for you... Happy 5 year ann!!!
Well, i am very excited about my dr apt. this last af was very emotional for me... like we had started all over. I have my first accupuncture session tomorrow... more less for relaxation and a stressed nerve in my back, but i am going to enjoy every minute of it. i haven't seen dh since we got home from vacation... and i am going through withdrawals... (i am always more randy after my af... and not so much after o...) ugh... i need me some man love!!
I hope you all have great evenings! i will talk to you all soon!!

Anna, how was accupuncture? I did that about 2 yrs ago and really liked it, but the dr I was seeing was far away and it was pretty expensive...so I stopped - plus he gave me chinese herbs that were supposed to get us pg, but they didn't and I didn't and I never went back to see him.
AFM- nothing really going on - just working on school stuff today....

Cali, any new pics for us?
Amber and beth, I thought about dong accupuncture but I'm not sure who does it around us and I don't think my insurance covers it. Well I'm pretty sure i'm out, AF should rear her head by thursday. All my symptoms point to her coming. i'm kind of bummed but oh well.
Amber, I know how you feel about getting AF. The first couple after a m/c are so heartbreaking. It will get better though. For me it takes four months and then I'm starting to feel better again.
Beth, when will you start IVF?
Chat with you ladies later.
Carrie

Anyway, I will let you guys know what the Dr at Emory says after my appt on Thursday...hope everyone is doing well!!!

My Mood: Points: 6,008.69 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 6,008.69 | IVF it is! Ok, so the RE at Emory def thinks IVF is our next step. He said we could always keep doing what we had been, but Mike and I were both like, yeah, no...let's move on. And RE thought that too, but I guess he just wanted to let us know we could always do another IUI, but our chances wouldn't be any better and the efficacy of clomid would be pretty moot since I'd done it so many times. He was just saying they had more control, less risk of OHSS, blah blah....y'all know the speil I think. So then he was like, well, why don't we look at a morning y'all can come in in August (he's out of the office for rest of July I think) and we'll do all the info, consent forms, saline u/s, and labwork on both of you and we'll be set to start stimming you sometime in Sept and do the ER in Oct (he said my process would probably span across 2 months total b/c of the lupron and all. ANYWAYS- we were like, well, we really thought we would wait until 2009 to start it all b/c we want to max out our medical flexible spending accounts at work and it won't start back up again till Jan. He said more time never helps in these situations, but since I'm young and all my labs from before look good, that he was fine w/waiting a few months. So I think that's what we're gonna do. We told him we were looking into the shared risk option, and he basically said what I already deduced from the reading I've done - most people who are going to achieve pg from ART do so w/in the first 2 cycles, and a third isn't necessary anyway, also, that the people who would actually benefit from shared risk are not accepted into those programs b/c of course, the clinic doesn't want to lose $$. So basically if we just paid for 2 cycles (if we needed a 2nd), we would be paying about the same as if we did the upfront amount for shared risk. I think that was enough to convince Mike, so we may just be staying at Emory for IVF too. He said statistically, our chances of getting pg w/IVF are 50-60% (which is much better than w/IUI) and that we have just as good a chance as anyone they've ever treated (I'm guessing that's b/c they have no clear answer as to why I'm not getting pg). So for now, we're just gonna keep using the CBEFM and chill, which is a relief. I would love to be moving forward w/this, but at the same time, it makes much more financial sense for us to wait. I think I only want to do 1 fresh cycle (assuming we will have embies on ice- gonna stay +), and then a FET if we needed it. I think if we give it two tries and no BFP, I will feel satisfied that we gave it our best and we can move forward to adopt. And that will cost much less than doing shared risk anyway.
Well, sorry for my novel - how is everyone, is anyone there?! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

We aren't going to be trying again before the exp date so you are welcome to have them. I am so excited for you and would love to hear the step by step during your process!

I know I have seen stuff about not selling or trading meds - surely a box of sticks would be ok...what do you think? I at least need to send you the money for shipping - I can also compensate you some for them - I paid pretty good $$ for some on ebay....I feel bad just taking them - they are pricey!

Beth your consult sounded like it went really well. It's always awesome to have a plan. DH and I are going to look at maxing out our flex spending accounts, but first we need to make sure it will cover the procedures and get rid of our other debt. Good luck using the OPKs, I think they're the fastest way to get pregnant.
Anna, how are thigns going for you? Your appointment is coming up, that's very exciting.
Cali, hello new pics. I know you're busy but your daughter is beautiful.
As for me, I give up, no more charting for awhile. I paused my account and everything. I'm not doing anything this cycle. It's too stressful. So back to the gym and concentrating on healing my shoulder. I had a doctor's appointment that didn't go very well. I have to go to physical therapy 3 times a week now and she has to be super mean to me. So we'll just see what happens.
I'll still be on though and chatting it up.
Chat with you ladies later.
Carrie

Amber, thanks so much for the pictures, she is soooooooooooooo cute. are you enjoying every moment.
Hi Anna, I'm stalking your chart and hope everything goes very well this cycle. It really be awesome if your first appointment, you are pregnant already.
Beth, I changed my mind about IVF. My due date is coming up and I can't imagine how I'll feel if it doesn't work, or if I have another miscarriage.
I've been having a really hard time lately and am extremely sad so I feel it's time to move on with my life even though it may mean not ever having children. Dh and I said that we would get a dog if we realized we might not have kids, well a dog it is. we saw a really cute one at the humane society and with any luck we will be bringing her home on Monday. It will be nice to have something else to focus on. If you guys don't mind I would love to still be a part of this thread so I can be your cheerleaders!
chat with you ladies later,
Carrie
