Very new in fact. I was dx this afternoon at 2:00. Lucky me I have friends who directed me to this board, thanks bucks so much. Where do I go from here, I am having laporscopy surgery next Thursday to remove a mass behind my right ovary and my doc said we would discuss my treatment after that. I am so scared and confused.
I'm sorry you have to go through this. You've found the right place for support and answers. Here's a good place to start http://www.soulcysters.net/showthread.php?t=111817 . Click on that link and catch up on some required PCOS reading. That will answer a lot of your questions. Many of us use different treatment opions. Many PCOSers have found drugs like Metformin (Glucophage) very helpful. I have found (and many others, too) that changing to a low carb diet has made a huge difference. You can research that in the diet and exercise forums. Once you read up a little and know what specific questions you need answers to, you will find plenty of cysters who will share their stories and help you find the answers that suit your particular needs.
((( hugs ))) I'm glad you've got your diagnosis and will be getting help. On the bright side, you are now a Cyster. That's just a little perk to having PCOS. If you need anything feel free to PM me.
Welcome to the board. Browse around and youll find all the info you need, plus more! This place has been a great comfort to me and inspiration. I hope you find the same thing I did. Much luck and have fun!

I was also just diagnosed 2 days back. This forum is the best place to get all the support you need. Just take your time and go through all the information on www.soulcysters.com and write down any points you think you want to discuss with your doctor. Take care.

Hi,
I'm glad you are here! You have many cysters here who will always be glad to listen!
Being newly diagnosed can be so scary. I have (in time... lots of time) come to be thankful for my diagnosis, because there are so many women out there with symptoms they can't explain, let alone treat. Read all you can to inform yourself, and then come back here and vent if you want! I've found that almost every time I have a question, someone here has been through it and can help out!
Laura Ann: I love that "mommy brain" ! I'll have to use that sometime
