Start by saying I just found this site today...

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago (saw them on the sonogram and everything), I went on the pill and i stopped taking it bc it made me Crazy! Also, was on Metformin but stopped that as well as there didnt seem to be any point in taking it..- didnt help with the weight / my period / nothing...

I found out that i had PCOS initially because i went to go get laser hair removal on my face. It came out of nowhere and i also gained alot of waight, (only in my stomach). The girl who was giving me the laser knew what was wrong with me immediatley. So i went to the Doctor, etc. This was a few years ago, and my period has been on and off. My symptoms (as far as the hair, and weight gain) subsided dramitically - really no reason why??. So i have kinda been ignoring it....

So about 3 weeks ago my throat started to hurt and my glands were swollen.. I havent had my period for for almost 3 months and just started gaining weight in my stomach again.. I went to my PHP and I didnt even mention the PCOS to him and plan to go back to my GYN. I wanted to know if anyone else has had any problems with swollen glands -- I am on a strong antibiotic now so hopefully it will clear up but i didnt even think about the fact that this could all be connected....

Feeling very depressed today .. Any thoughts? AND I cant stand my STOMACH anymore i feel DISGUSTING

I feel you about the sore throat, it's not my glands that are swollen tho it's ma tonsils, I take meds and it comes back weeks later, I am not suffering with it until I get some insurance to get them bad boys taken out. I don't know if all of this is PCOS related or not.
