hi, everyone. i read these threads all the time, but have only posted once or twice. my physician sent me for some bloodwork and thinks i may have PCOS, so he's sending me to a gyno. some of my results include LH 6.0, FSH 4.0, and total testosterone of 65 ng/dL. my symptoms include increasingly worse acne (i'm 25), lack of menstruation, and hair on my chin. but because the hair really only occurs there, my electrologist seems to think it's genetic rather than hormonal, but who knows... (thoughts?). an ultasound revealed cysts on my ovaries. i am thin and don't have any problems with baldness.

i'm posting because i want to know going into the appointment what my options are. unless there is a BCP without this side effect, i don't want to go on any BCP at all because Yaz made my breasts HUGE and i can't stand it as someone who is very short. i have also heard that it's kinda difficult to drink on metformin and i'm a young person who likes to go out with friends and drink (not excessively, of course) on a pretty regular basis. i don't want to kill my social life. so what are my options? are there medications out there without these side effects that some of you have had success with?

like a lot of you from what i've read on this forum, i'm frustrated. i feel ugly and pathetic and i'm probably depressed. i just don't want a medication that's going to make me feel just as bad by treating one problem while making another worse.
