I think i have had this problem all my life and never knew it. I remember when doctors would run all these test and then told me they did not know what the problem was. That is when i began to feel like i was going to die or something. Then another doctor just said you would not be about to give birth in the future. i was like what!!! thats when i really began to think that my future was not going to come. Then when i moved i began to get some really hurst pains in my stomach. I mean i could not move. That is when i went to a doctor and he said that i have a problem called PCOS. he prescriped me birth control. I was happy that i finally found out what i have. Yah!! But then the birth control began to make me sick and moody. I didnt enjoy snapping on my friends in was not a nice thing but i could not help it . So i stopped. I dont know anymore what to do. I feel that there is another way without having to take birth control. Everytime i take birth control i get angry and then when i stop i get bigger. i want to lose weight but it is so hard. Could somebody help me...Please I want to get better..
Your doc seems to be a little bit uneducated about PCOS, which is normal! lol Many cysters do get pregnant and carry full term! Join us on the Trying to Conceive board!
The pill made me crazy, too. I had to drop it. As far as weight goes, look into an exercise program and an insulin resistant diet. More about that on the Diet and Exercise board.

I just took Clomid and I was told I would never have a baby again by another doctor until my new doctor said I am ok and that it isn't the end of the world. I am PREGNANT NOW! If I can get pregnant you can too. I hope it all works out for you and don't worry cyster...we are hear for ya!

Welcome to SC. I had the same reaction when I found out and did research. The best thing you can do for yourself is get educated on our symptom. I have actually learned a lot through the posts. Everyone is sooo helpful! Good luck!
