Hello everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am 26. I have had PCOS since age 13 when I first started having AF but back then I got the old your young its hormones it will work itself out dont worry. It went away on its own and then 4 yrs ago it came back with a vengeance. I have recently been diagnosed and put on 1000mg of Metformin. I have just about all symptoms of PCOS. Major weight gain with inability to lose much no matter how little I eat or much I exercise, Acne, Depression, Mood Swings, hair in places women shouldnt have hair, insomnia and so much more. I am excited to finally find a place where I fit in and have people who understand what this is like. I have been with my husband for 7 yrs but married for almost 2. We are wanting to start a family right away and hoping Metformin will help me ovulate on my own. I am also trying to lose weight so that I can have a safer and healthier pregnancy. I hope to make many wonderful friends to share this exciting and sometimes not so exciting journey with.

Welcome LoveCat!! I am new here, as well. I find this site wonderful with many people you can relate to. I no longer have the feeling of "am I the ONLY one out there like this?!" It's so encouraging reading what others have put, about theirselfs, familys, ttc, losing weight, putting up w/all the effects of pcos, and their stories of accoplishments..
