Red face New to Yasmin... Side effect question.

Hi,

I new to Yasmin, I just started last week, and I was wondering if any of you had this side effect. I have been getting weird cramping twinges. Almost like a period cramp but shorter and not quiet as intense. Has anyone else had this? Could it just be stress or do you think that it's just because it's a new med? If you have any thoughts please let me know.

Thanks,

I've been having these for a while, I've just started on Yasmin as well but they actually started before I started on it. I went to my GP, who couldn't feel anything but has referred me for an ultrasound. She did say it could be from the pill but considering it started before I started on the pill I'm not convinced by this.

I would say that if you're concerned or it's affecting you in anyway to see your doctor about this, it might just be down to the pill, or stress, or something completely different.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter.

I am not disorganized, I have anti-systematic methodology disorder.

I got the same sort of cramps.
Then I got cramps during my period, (which ended up lasting 11 days...the cramps were constantly there though!)
I just started my second pack.
But i am guessing that maybe it's just your body adjusting to the new horomones in your system. That's what I though it was anyway. But I am defintely NOT a doctor.

Hello,-
I started Yasmin about 4 months ago and I had random cramp-like twinges at odd times for the first three months of the pill. This month (on my second week) I have not had any. I do believe that it is just your body adjusting hormone levels -- but if you worry like I do -- just give your doc a call.

Good luck.
