I think that green tea sales must be rising here in the USA, too because there has been a lot of talk about its benefits. I know that I have been drinking more, lately. Luckily, I like the taste of it; all kinds, really: green, black and herbal.
Since my English cousin's daughter visited here last November, I have been drinking more tea in general. She drank a lot of tea and is a vegetarian and she seems very, very trim and healthy (of course, she is only 20 yrs. old and I'm 50!) However, I am thinking of continuing to drink lots of tea in the New Year. I find that it does keep me from overeating a bit if I drink a lot of tea. It keeps my mouth busy, slurping the tea, so I hopefully don't head for the cookies. Sometimes, though, I get to thinking how good a cookie would be with all this tea I'm drinking and maybe another cookie and then...well, you know the rest of the story!

I usually think you can 'train' yourself to like different tastes but i just cannot get myself to drink green tea, which is a shame because lots of people i know seem to benefit from it.
I love peppermint tea and find it helps with any tummy or indigestion probs
