hi everyone, im new at this site and i only recently found out that i have PCOS..im only sixteen so i dont really understand everything about it. i was wondering if anybody else had the same symptom that i had/have and which medications there on..i just got put on a medication thats really hard to spell..nd it seems to be working but im afraid of the rare side affects that include tumors. my main symptom was incessent sweating..it just never stopped. it was embaressing and a huge pain because i would have to change my shirts four to fives times a day..i tried EVERYTHING..i went to two doctors, and a dermotologist..none of which suspected it was PCOS. i ended up going to an endocrinologist even tho none of my doctors recommended it nd she said that this was the problem. she said that i shud see results in 6 weeks....does nebody kno if it takes a longer or shorter time? thanks so much everyone

Hi, Fenian, welcome to sc. You'll find loads of helpful info in the "stickies" at the top of this board and in Kat's story. There are dozens of different symptoms with this problem, some of us have most of them and others only one or two. I know what you mean about the sweats; a lot of us have these. Stay cheerful, you have had a very early diagnosis, which is good. The more you can learn about your condition the better you can deal with it. Good luck.
I don't have that symptom but I am sure someone else does and can help you out. I just wanted to say Welcome to Soul Cysters!
