Hi,
Today is my first day on this forum and I'm so glad I'm here. I was diagnosed with PCOS in Feb. of 2005. I've had symptoms all along since my teen years, but just recently was I told (last year) that my symptoms werent all that unique and it's an actually condition.
Anyway, In just these few mins from being on the site and reading some of the post, I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders. I feel at ease. I'm actually sitting here crying because I'm finally realizing that I'm ok and all the hassle, frustration, and depression I've felt is not just me. (I know this all my sound a little weird!!!)
I havent read much, but up front I want to say thank you to everyone on here who has posted and shared their experiences. Just know you've touched/impacted someone (me ).
Ok, that's enough from me! I look forward to getting to know you all and developing some friendships!
Me too and it took me until my 30's to get a dx. All of those years I could have felt better...sigh... But in a strange way, it feels good to know what's 'wrong' with me bc now I can take charge of my health.

Glad to meet you Sweetiepye. I am also fairly new here and I know exactly how you feel. This is a wonderful place to feel normal, loved and supported by other cysters.

I'm so happy for you that you've been diagnosed. It is a blessing in a way, because there are still so many women out there suffering, and they don't know what's wrong-- and they could be feeling better.
Be sure to visit the newbie forum (if you haven't already) and share your story with us if you want to.
Hugs
Jenny

I am new here too. today is my first day on the site and I cannot get enough of all the information that is available. It is wonderful. I am sure that everyone can agree with the way that you are feeling regarding this issue. PCOS is also what I suspected I had, and wasnt dx until May of this year. My bf has a conditon that also contributes to the frustration we are experiencing with ttc. The one good thing that I have read here and on other sites, as well as information from my doctor is that many women with pcos go on to conceive. (not sure if you want to or are trying) Me I am fighting to lose weight by eating right, and also tryiing to get my lazy butt to the gym. I am happy to have found such a wonderful place with such a diverse set of people to share in my ups and downs with pcos. See you 'round the boards.

i just found the site a couple days ago and i too sat in front of my little mac screen and cried! (good tears this time of course!)
it really is amazing isn't it? kind of like walking through a dark forest and coming to a clearing that stretches out over the most fantastic lake - sparkling in the sunlight.
Welcome -- I've been roaming a while here and find a load of information and support. I've had this for a long time and it has taken me until last week to finally admit that I need to accept it and deal. That was really tough for me and the board is very supportive. Best of luck to you on your journey!
