My name's Kiran.. and I'm soooOooo.. glad I have found this Forum!
Let me tell you abit about myself.. I was diagonised with PCOS about a year and half ago.. at the age of 19.. and to be completely honest.. I didn't have a clue what PCOS was.. my doctor didn't even explain to me what it was.. all he said was.. what would you prefer "Met" or "The Pill"..
I had a lot of the Symptoms.. such as: Absent Periods for about 8 months, Obesity, Excess Hair (Hirsutism), Loss Of Hair, Acne and Acanthosis Nigricans..
Anyway, I was put on 800mg Met x 2 Daily but nothing happened. A few months later I decided to diet and exercise and managed to lose 38 pounds in 2 months.. and I started getting my periods back (I think you use the word AF?) Correct me, If I'm wrong!
My skin was improved and I felt so much better!
And.. a year on.. I'm back to my old self.. 40 pounds heavier and depressed! I've even stopped my medication!
However, I came across this Forum.. and all the information I have read.. is great and so motivating! So, I'm going to try again and hopefully stick to it!
I've got a goal now.. I'm getting married next April.. so want to lose as much weight as I can.. and be healthier than ever before! AND.. get this PCOS controlled!
thats also my goal - get everything back on track by my wedding and be bnacl down to my 120-30lb self (im about 182) lol
