Hey all... I wanted say HELLO. I am a newbie to all this PCOS stuff. Any advice or recomendations would be appreciated. A little about me, I am a 28 year old wife and mother of a beautiful daughter who is almost 9. I was just diagnosed this week with PCOS and I am very sad, nervous, scared, and not quite sure what to think about all this. Hope all is well with everyone. Thanks Jaime
Hello and welcome to the boards! First of all, a victory to you. So many cysters have problems having children and you have a beautiful daughter. So count that as a blessing for yourself!
There is so much more to PCOS than fertility, however, and now is the time for you to arm yourself with knowledge. I would check out the forum on good books and websites to read: http://www.soulcysters.net/good-websites-books-etc/ and http://www.soulcysters.net/research-articles-4-pcos/ These are good links to start exploring this thing that we have. Another good tip is to just read through the boards and participate! Even if you don't know much about the disease, you can share your experience, you can share support, you can share love for the other cysters...this is how we build such a loving, supportive community. We truly do care for one another. And if you have a question, post it! Even if you think it's gross, post it. Once you've read around about what some other people have posted, you won't feel quite so self concious about posting things.
You may be overwhelmed with information at first but rest assured, you'll get through it. :-)
(hugs)

Hi and Welcome to Sc!! I don't have much to say because Danceswithtubas wrote a great post! I'll just agree to browse the boards, there is lots of info. I was diagnosed Feb 2006 but just found this board about 2 weeks ago and already know more than I did!
