Hi! I have tons of questions, but I guess I would like to know how others are being treated for their PCOS and what results were seen? I was put on Fortamet three days ago (diagnosed 4 days ago) and everytime I take it i break out with itchy bumps on my right leg and tonight for the first time on my chest, usually goes away in about a half hour.... not sure what to make of it
OH.... Im supposed to start on byetta this weekend in conjucntion with the Fortamet..... Kind of scared..... eventhough doc told me it was ok.... im on 500 mg of fortamet now and am supposed to increase dosage weekly until im up to 2000mg and start the byetta at the same time, just seems like a ton of medication
I am currently on Lexapro 20mg and LoEstrin 24 FE (BCP). I was on Met but only 500mg because I wasn't really following what I was supposed to do (Thats a nurse for ya...not taking meds...). So, in about 4 months I will start back up on the Met.

thanks for the info... when u were on met though did you have any allergic reactions? I broke out in hives last night, but my doc said to stay on it for a couple more days to see if met is the cause, maybe it could have been something else
WOW thanks for all the support Such a great website! TY everyone so much. Finally answers to my questions. Its so stressfull and everyone thinks I'm being dramatic. My pcp put me on metformin 1x a day at 500MG but I dont think its any good. Im still getting alot of constant pain on my right side and the metformin really upset my stomach. So finally a place that knows what this is all about!
Hi Funky petals, Im on 500 mh also, havent had any side effects and i take it right after dinner. Im in Fair Lawn ,NJ which is an hour from New Brunswick.
Im going up to 1,000 tomorrow see what happens. Did you have pain before the metforim or after u started using it?
Oh cool your not to far from me an hour is not so bad...my sister lives an hour north and my mother an hour south LOL...The pain has been there for a long time. way before the metformin but i think its aggravating it...cause it has gotten worse and actually constant now since taking it. Does that make sense?
