I guess it makes sense ,Ive never had pain in my abdomen... Have they (Dr.)told you what the pain was from?? Are you on any other medications other than Fortamet? What doctor do you go to?

Nope no other medications besides the metformin.. The doctor feels she is not concerned about the pain...why I have no idea. My doctor is just a PCP so she knows how to diagnose PCOS but dosent know anything else about it besides the metformin that I'm taking already. She insists that medicine I have to take because it will help with my weight. But I have diabetes that run in my family so I am a bit concerned taking a diabetic medication. Her name is Dr. Gubbi. She is a great PCP just dosent know a lot about PCOS.

Hi Jennifer, I am new as well and got diagnosed just couple of days back. Its terribly frustrating n i understand completely how you feel...looking forward to getting to know more..

Thanks for all the support again and people who understand! Wannabmom its so crazy that someone I never met knows exactly how I feel! I really need to jump around in this post site and really read about my PCOS. I have an identical twin sister and she dosent have PCOS. I was reading though she does have a 50/50 shot though of now getting it. Duvuck all the best of luck. I hope to actually catch any of you online so we can talk one on one and compare and share stories

I am not new to pcos however i am new to this site. I was diagnosed in 93 w/pcos. I am now almost 29 and have been ttc for 2 years now. For the first time ever thanks to a fantastic dr, gonal f, and the greastest husband alive i am in my 2ww from the ovidrel shot. This will be my first time being able to take the shot either because the meds did not work or they worked to well and had to many eggs. When i went last tuesday i had 3 great eggs and did the ovidrel shot w/ TI on wed. I am crossing my fingers with prayers that this works. I am glad i found a site where i can discuss my obsticles with, and accually have someone(s) UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH. I cannot wait to meet new friends. if anyone has a myspace i would love to add you as a friend.

Thanks for the support and best of luck getting pregnant =) I have 5 nieces and 3 nephews so if I never get lucky to have a baby that will be ok with me. If u want to add me to your myspace my name there is also funkypetals. Best of luck for you and your husband and getting preggo!!
