I was diagnoised 2 yrs ago w/pcos.and the dr said ok you are over weight by 45 lbs and this problem with not getting preg. will go away when you shed the weight, I know you havent had a period in six months but thats normal with pcos, so loose the weight and you will feel as good as you will look. And that was it. I havent ever looked for any info I thought it was just something that went hand in hand with being over weight....so I am down 40 pounds 2 yrs later (thanks to RX diet pills) and still no baby! Which dr do I see about this and is there hope where I have went so long without and meds?

Hi there - I'm new here too. You might want to find a new OB/GYN. Now that you've been trying all this time, and have lost that much weight, it might be time for an RE (reproductive endocrinologist). Your ob/gyn should be able to refer you to one.
We're trying to get pregnant too. I wish you all the luck in the world, and I definitely think there is hope. I recently listened to an infertility podcast, and they said only 10% of all couple have fertility problems, and they can help 90% of those with problems, so there are a lot of things doctors can do for you once you find the right one.
