Default I can relate

Hello, I was just recently diagnosed with PCOS and I too will be getting married soon. More than anything in the world I want to have kids. Right now I am going through the fears and scares of what if I can't. So, I will give you an answer based on personal and educational experiences. I am a psychology major and one thing that I have learned in studying marriage counseling is this. Communication is key. If your spouse doesn't understand what it is that you are trying to educate him about than you need to seek other means of getting your message across to him. You can do this by giving him reading materials on PCOS, support groups for family and friends of woman with PCOS. You guys together can do research on other alternatives on how to get pregnant with PCOS.

On a more personal note I understand what your going through. The scare of what if. Some advice that I got from people on this site is. Be hopeful. Two words that sound so simple yet hard to do. One thing I do know is that stress doesn't help anyone. Which I have been doing a lot of lately. But as my father would say do things to keep yourself active. We can't worry about the things that are not in our control all we can do is try to handle them in a better way. So, after talking to my father today (a psychologist) he stated that me and his soon to be son-in-law should do things together to better help us with getting pregnant. Change of Lifestyle (which I am learning is the advice that is given a lot on this site) Do your research and find out what women with PCOS or women with infertility problems can do to help increase there chances of becoming pregnant. Actually writing this to you just help me feel a little better. Thank you. I hope you received a little comfort in what I had to say too.

hi thanks so much for the reply its good to no that im not alone in feeling this way, iv tried everything to get him to understand what pcos is all about, as im overweight and mention all the side effects to him he often says that its my weight thats the problem and if i lost it then i would be " normal " very easy for a 130lbs guy to say that lol anyway i will print out some reading material for him and see if that has any effect !

thanks again
