Hi, im new to this site, im 17 and was diagnosed in the summer with pcos while on holiday, and was told to see my doctor when i got home, i saw him and he said leave it for a few weeks and see if you get any pain or bleeding, within 2 weeks i was in constant pain and went back, he thought some cysts had probably burst and decided to put me on metformin, after 3weeks again i was n agony and couldnt walk due to the pain so i went back and he took me off it saying i had badly inflamed abdomen. and said to wait and see what happens once off them, im off them now and the pain has stopped, i also spoke to him about my weight and that i cannot lose it, i've seen dieticians, been to weight watchers, been on more diets then i can begin to count and none do anygood at all, i told him this and he said he wants to sort out this issue of metformin first and then he phoned this morning to say he wanted to send me to a Hormone specialist, i think the word he used began with an 'E'? and basically im terrified. my mum doesnt like the idea of me ever having children and in response things maybe its for the best and its a blessing in disguise but im sure as you all know its not and its the hardest thing being told you quite possibly wont be able to have children. and im just at the end of my wits, i also suffer from sever depression and stress and am on medication for both and things just seem to be going down hill and i dont really know where to turn now and im just here in the hope someone could please help me understand or something cause i dont know what to do now.
many thanks.
Lottie,
xx

what id suggest is to write down everything that you want to ask/say to your dr so you dont foget. Thats what i always do. there is a link to the newbie roadmap in my siggie for you
