I am fairly new. I have been reading threads for a bit. Trying to learn everything I can. I wanna see links, so I guess I am posting.
I am 23 years old, DH is 25. We have been married for 6 years and are TTC our first. I was diagnosed Feb. of last year. (Can you believe it '09 already!) I was put on 1500mg of metformin XR. I was open to it working since I had heard alot of good things about it. But sadly that wasnt the case. I was on it almost 8 months. It didnt help me. I didnt ovulate the entire time I was on it. I had to use provera every 45 days to get a cycle. Docs idea, not sure if it was the best thing. She didnt really take my situation seriously. She kept refering to the fact that I am young and have all the time in the world. Ha! Needless to say I am looking for a new one. So irritated with the whole situation, I quit taking the met. Havent been back since. I feel a million times better, back to my old self. Hubby has noticed too. Well low and behold, around thanksgiving I completed my first start to finish cycle of the year on my own at 40 days! Yay! Before Feb '08, I had been on birth control. I started it when I was like 14 or so. I had very irregular and miserable cycles then. They worked perfectly until of course we wanted to start a family. Now it makes me wonder if the met actually started to work or if the birth control is finally out of my system. Who knows? I am currently 13dpo on my second cycle. (I chart.) Here's hoping my body is actually doing what it is suppossed to do!!!
