Default Newbie...
Just found out about an hour ago that I do indeed have PCOS. This after having a child in 6/08 who dies within an hour of her birth. I researched all my symptoms and presented them to my doctor. She listened quite well, and put me on provera to jump start a period. So far after 5 days after my last pill, no AF. I will give it maybe 5 more days before I convince myself there is cause for alarm.

Just wanted to join this site for support and read on other's trial and victories.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I am new to soul-cysters, too. I was diagnosed 3 years ago. My GYN referred me to an Endocrinologist who made the diagnosis in 2006. Unfortunately the endocrinologist didn't give me any additional information, just put me on metformin and sent me on my way. This frustrated me so much that I stopped seeing her. Now I am researching the condition and trying to improve my eating and exercising habits... It can all feel too overwhelming at times. In any case, I'm glad that we both found this forum.

The first thing I did was try to find a site where this is discussed. I have appt 3/13/09 so I want to be prepared!
