hi my name is tracey i have had pcos since i was 16 now 29 gone through various meds and gyne/endo over the years been messed about finally last april saw most understanding dr who said i am stuck with pcos and discussed some very drastic options re tried meds again as he was so good been for follow up appointments he sent me for a scan in feb due to the bleeding as i have probs with that scan came back ok as all other drs said the bleeding i a build up of me not having a period so get it all at once plus bleed light on and off most of the time been messed about from feb as my dr is away was not happy with last 2 drs i saw so had an appointment today usual dr still not in the person who i saw said what i know i am stuck with it and as they have no options there is nothing they can do because had meds over yrs and they will not operate so the dr today has discharged me in the care of my gp when bleed just get tranexamic acid and mefanmic acid from dr which i am already on

im so sorry that you cant get an answers from the dr. I take mefenamic acid, too. could you get to see a different dr again? i had to change dr to get pcos help.

Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a few doctors before you can find the right one.

Welcome to SC. I am currently going through the same process of finding a new gyn/endo. Unfortently my NP Is great i just feel i would better from a specialist. The reason i am looking for a new endo is because all he cares about is getting paid . I would try looking for a PCOS specialist in your area. Good luck to you!!
