Thought I'd give a brief introduction here as well.
I'm 26, mother to 3 kids, Xander 3 and a half, Lily 2 and Caleb 1.
There is a possibility that I could have PCOS. A recent blood test confirmed wacky hormone levels, which has lead to another blood test, to definitely confirm it one way or another. Should get the results by Friday.
The information I have come across so far is slightly confusing but largely scary.
Anyone else in a similar situation, playing a "maybe" waiting game?
I'm another "maybe" too... i had a pelvic exam, ultrasound and then finally blood tests to find out what was going on with my cycle. The ultrasound didn't show any indication of PCOS but my blood test revealed a high androgen level. Going by that one result alone my GP said he thinks it is PCOS. His only suggestion was to use a BCP. When i said no to that he gave me a referral to see a Ob/GYN. So right now i'm holding out to hear how long it will take before i can see the specialist and find out what happens next...I try to stop myself from googling PCOS too much as it's all a little bit scary and disheartening!

Yes it is a little bit scary when the drs first say it could be and not explain it exactly what Pcos is. there is a section on the boards of links i have done up to help others with pcos too. If its too much to find I can email the both to u !

I too am an Aussie PCOS'er! Been diagnosed since 1998.
