Unhappy Newbie to the board and depression

Any of you ladies got post natel depression? Should I be on this board? Or have you any suggestions as to where I will get support.

I've never suffered before with depression and after 6.5months, I have bitten the bullet and finally admitted to myself that there is a problem. I have just started Cipralex today.

Wondered if anyone had any advice on the Cipralex, or PND?

Any help would be great and may convince me further that I have actually got a problem. (My pride gets in the way of admitting that I cant sort this out on my own).

Thanks

Aw, I feel for ya. And, of course you are welcome on this board. We all understand the pain of depression. You also might get some advice from "The Mommy" board. I've been there, though and it was one of the worst time of my life. I cried for no reason at all. One day my DH came home and I was crying because the baby was in her crib instead of in utero. That was a rough time. I know that hearing someone else going thorugh it doesn't help you, though. Just wanted to send hugs to you and tell you that it does go away...until they grow up and you want them to be babies again. Well, that might be stretching it a bit. LOL I'm sorry, I'm not sure what cipralex is. Is there a different name for it? Perhaps someone can tell you more. Do remember that it can take a few weeks for anti-d's to take effect. If after 6 wks you don't feel better, contact your Dr. Sometimes it takes a few trys to find the right med. Good luck to you and BIG HUGS, Lendi
