Yesterday I went in for an u/s so I could start injections, well I had a Cyst I couldn't believe it I have never had a cyst, now I am scared. They put me on BCP, will this help? Should I take them. How long will it take to go away. I am so devestated! Will it be harder now for me to get pregnant, I need advice please. The tech said it was pretty big. I had no idea!
I have never had a big cyst, but have read many experiences about them here. The BCPs will help to shrink the cyst. Def. take them. If the cyst doesn't shrink I believe they could rupture and you could loose the ovary it was on. I believe it takes about a month or two. But, everyone is different. Once it goes away, you can TTC again.
I hope other cysters can help you more. They are great for info and support.

Hi there,
I found out when I had an ultrasound that I had a cyst also, and it was huge. I had been on BCP for two years prior to finding out it was there, and during the two years, my periods were painful. Hence the whole cyst thing. But two months ago, I decided to go more natural, stopped taking BCP and the glucophage, and saw a nutritionalist who started me on a pituitary supplement. Since everything starts with the pituitary gland, it made sense to me. This was the first month that I didn't have pain during my period, so something certainly happened. I just thought you should know that some times other options work out better. But everyone has a different path, I hope you find yours.
Happy holidays,
Jenny
