Hi All

,
I'm so glad there is a sounding board for people who have PCOS. I was just diagnosed August 31st this year. I was having the following symptoms: missed period (more than 2 months) which was odd because my cycle was like clockwork, anxiety, oily skin, acne (I didn't have acne as a teen why do I have it now?), weight loss impossible, insomnia, hair loss, pain in my abdomin, history of cysts.
I went in to my Gynie and they did blood work and scheduled for me to have an ultrasound on 09/31

. While in the ultrasound the tech pushed on a cyst and I thought I was going to die. She showed me on the monitor how my ovaries are full of cysts and that I likely had PCOS. Which thankfully a coworker of mine had before my issues started.
I was on birthcontrol for 4 years straight and most doctors say that BC can actually hide PCOS. I've had weight problems for almost six years now and I'm very healthy so I never understood why I woul d have weight issues

. I'm on Metformin now 1000mg, and I'm experiencing a few issues, I know that bathroom issues are the norm on Metformin but what about waking up in the night with extreme abdomin pain?
Any one else have pains on Metformin??? I try to read up as much as I can, but I really haven't found many proven/trusted sites with information.
Thanks!
Candace
