A few more tests... Most important, get a glucose/insulin tolerance test. They'll draw your blood, give you some soda-like stuff to drink, then check your blood again every hour for a few hours. This is the test you want, NOT the fasting glucose/insulin.
You should have your testosterone, estrogen and progesterone tested. Most of us have low progesterone, high testosterone and a certain type of high estrogen (the wrong kind). So, high-estrogen BCPs can raise the wrong estrogen, causing problems. If you MUST be on BCPs, go with a low estrogen, high progesterone.
That said, I'd recommend not taking the BCPs at all unless absolutely necessary. They made everything worse for me. Could you use condoms? That's what DH and I are doing, even though he hates it (I don't want to get pregnant again until summer).
You only need to have a period every three months to prevent long-term problems. If you go three months without one, your doctor could give you progesterone to bring one on, or you could use natural progesterone cream to do it yourself.
Hope I helped!
