Hi everyone! I'm newly diagnosed with PCOS (just diagnosed in mid-March) and I'm so thankful that I found this site. I wasn't sure about the diagnosis but after reading about other people's symptoms here I wish I had found this site sooner! I've grown up with Hypoglycemia, depression, and anxiety. A year and a half ago I had a significant weight gain that coincided with my wedding and the abrupt end to my normal monthly cycle. I just assumed it was stress related (I'm also a tax accountant so that equals lots of stress too). A year and a half later and I'm finally diagnosed with PCOS. I just can't wait to get back to my normal self. I haven't felt like me in a year & a half!
April was my first month on Provera - my 10 day string of taking the med ended this past Thursday. Saturday morning marked the arrival of AF. AF is extremely heavy (going strong 3 days now) and I'm pretty worn out and not feeling well. Is that normal for the first withdrawal period? This is the first AF I've had since January (which was just spotting) and I hadn't had one since October before that. I wasn't sure if I should call my doc or not, I just am not sure what to expect with this since it's all so new to me. I sure hope every month is not like this!
Thanks!
