Newbie, going for first ultrasound this week! Hi there!
Im new this this forum and new to PCOS! I havent been diagnosed yet but my doctor said she would 'bet her bottom dollar' i have PCOS!
Im going for my first ultrasound this week and after all the tests ive had done over the years (which all came back negative) im acutally hoping something shows up in the ultrasound! Does that sound bad?
Over the last two years ive been diagnosed with under-active thyroid and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I manage my IBS by staying 100% gluten free and about 80% dairy free (I can not give up cheese! I love it! hehe)
Ive been on the pill for over 3 years and have recently started having new issues/symptoms. I had a irregular spotting followed by a SUPER heavy period followed by 6 weeks of spotting/bleeding then I had a SUPER light period. Its been all over the place lately! Ive had a lot of mild cramping, especially on my right side (ovary) and ive gained so much weight this year...1 kg a month since november last year - 90% of the weight is in my belly. Somedays I can pass for 6 months pregnant. Its not nice.
Ive struggled with depression and anxiety over the last few years and am tired of being told that im 'healthy'! I know something is wrong with me.
Does this sound like possilbe PCOS to you?
The only symptom I dont have is the abnormal hair growth (not that ive noticed anyway!).
Please write back. Im scared and am just looking for some re-assurace.
