Hi everyone! My name is Nancy. I am 29 years old and have been married since Oct/03. My dh and I had our 1st child in 2004 (honeymoon baby - well, 2 wks after we got back from the honeymoon). We have been ttc #2 since May/06. I was dx in Feb/07 w/pcos and was given 500 mg of Metformin. At the beginning of April I was put on Clomid and my obgyn upped my Metformin to 1000 mg. I am scheduled to test Sunday. I know I should just be happy with the beautiful daughter I have, but I have always wanted alot of kids. The possibility of not having more has took me into a depressed state of mind. I know it sounds silly. Everyone tells me I am being irrational. But they don't have pcos and they don't know what it is like to live with it. I was never really overweight until after I had my daughter. I gained 70 lbs in the year after my daughter was born. I tried everything to drop the weight, but nothing worked. Now I know why.

Anyway, I am rambling ( I think I had too much coffee this AM). I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you about myself. I am so glad I found this board. Having someone that actually understands is going to be a really big help. I can't wait to get to know all of you.

Just wanted to say hello and welcome. It can be overwhelming to be diagnosed. Even for myself, being single and not having children yet, it's something i always wanted and hoped to have one day, and it's distressing to think that pcos will make it more difficult. You may want to check out some of the ttc boards. Good luck!

Hi Nacy. I am in the same place. ALways wanted lots of children. I have been TTC#2 since aug 05. Hang in there it will happen.
