Hey everyone! *Waves* I'm Kayleigh (call me Kayjay) & I live in the UK. I'm 17 years old & I was diagnosed with PCOS after I had an ultrasound in 2003, but it was never really investigated.
I joined 'cos I'm going to have to go back to the hospital & look into medications for it- I'm taking Valproate for my Bipolar Disorder & my psychiatrist says that it can make PCOS develop (or worsen if you already have it). He recommended that I look into medications for the PCOS when I'm there, but he said some of them can clash with the Valproate so I may have to switch to another mood stabiliser (anyone know anything about this?)
So yeh, here I am. I've only finally started going on communities & forums for some of my illnesses & I'm glad I have... I feel much less alone now! I'm always up for making new friends (I'm quite rubbish at this- Social Anxiety Disorder ^^ ) so if you wanna add me on Myspace or anything (link's in my profile) then go ahead! See you around!

Just wanted to say hello and welcome. Definatley let your dr know all the meds you take to avoid an interaction. You may want to try the medications or depression threads to find more info. Hope you find lots of info and support here, and let us know how it goes!
