Hi everyone! I was diagonosed with PCOS in 2003 when I was a freshman in high school. I just found these boards and I'm hoping to get some supoort from them.

Symptoms:
hirsutism
overweight (230 at 5'6")
absent menses
insulin resistance
darkening of skin
high cholestoral

Meds:
Metformin 500 mg twice a day
Yasmin birth control
250 mg aldactone twice a day



Outside of my PCOS, I am a photographer. I have an amazing fiance whom I have been engaged to for 7 months. I have a pug (Tinkerbell) that is spoiled rotten and a niece and a nephew (Nick and Jenna) that I cannot spend enough time with.
