Default Newbie here!!

Hello

I'm 27, married for 1.75 years and TTCing for 1.5 years. Last month the Nurse Practitioner for the Dr's office diagnosed me with PCOS. She prescribed birth control pills for me, which doesn't make sense to me as we're TTCing. I have an appt with my Dr next month for a consultation and so that I can get a prescription for a fertility drug.

I'm happy to find this site, and I look forward to congregating and sharing information with you all.

hi & welcome!!! the nurse probably put you on BC to supress your ovaries until next month. it kinda gives them a rest, avoids you getting cysts, & gives you some time to "clear up" any existing cysts you may have. i know it sounds kinda strange when you are starting out, but it is actually pretty common. i was even on BC before i started my 1st IVF cycle.

good luck on your TTC journey! hopefully it won't be a long one! also, if you post your TTC questions in the Infertility & Trying to Conceive forum, you'll get TONS of helpful responses!

HTH!!
