Default Newbie here. Anyone have PCOS but no cysts? Had laparoscopy on Tuesday and...

doc said no cysts whatsoever, but I have large ovaries (5cm versus 3cm). Also said I'm on the "severe" side of PCOS since my androgen levels were very elevated (in 12/02 testosterone was 140, now it's 50 b/c I'm on BCP). Free testerone is within normal limits and no insulin resistance. I'm bummed. Not TTC now, but I'm 33 and want to try next year. Any encouraging words?

The way I understood it, was that the "cysts" are inside the ovary, which makes them enlarged. They can't really see them with a lap. I recently had one done also, and I was so upset because he didn't find anything. But after he told me that, it made me feel better. I was beginning to think there was something else wrong with me. HTH... :p

Nope you are not alone that was me also. Didn't have any cysts but the large ovaries and lots of the other symptoms.

Welcome to the boards.

Prometrium 100 mg was 200 mg but was dropped last year but is not working as well this for reg per. Can't take the pill because it was rasing my bp up too much which was how I was discovered to be hypertensiive

also taking spironolactone 25 mg for hbp but also the sideeffect of helping control hair growth.
